Giving

Thank you for learning more about giving. At Douglasville FUMC, we believe generosity is a matter of action, intentions, and heart. One way to describe it is the grateful outpouring of gifts to others, out of our love for God.

Generous living is not just about giving money, or even just about giving. It has to do with the whole of who we are and how we care for our neighbors (see Mark 12:28-31).

Ways to Give

Douglasville FUMC is pleased to offer several convenient giving methods. Consider taking advantage of one of these easy giving options:

Worship Services:  For your convenience, offering envelopes are available for giving at our worship services. Simply place cash or checks (payable to Douglasville FUMC) in one of these envelopes and put it in the offering plates during services. You may also mail your gifts to Douglasville FUMC directly and we will apply the offering.

Online Giving: This safe and flexible option is the easiest way to give at Douglasville FUMC.  It’s secure, easy and flexible. Touch or click one of the actions below.

Resources

If you are unsure of how to get started with your giving or would like to step-up your giving, consult the Giving Chart below or contact us at the church office for more information.

Download the Giving Chart to help guide your decisions.

How to use the Chart:

Step One: Figure your income for the past month.

Step Two: Find the intersection of your monthly income and your percentage of giving to discover your monthly contribution.

Step Three: Divide the amount by four if you will be making your gift weekly:
(i.e. $4,000 monthly income, 7% gift, $280 monthly gift, $70 weekly contribution)

If you make a decision to increase your giving by one percent next year, take the following steps:

  • Locate your monthly income in the left column.
  • Move to the right in that row until you come to the amount you give per month.
  • Move one more box to the right.
  • The amount noted in that box includes a one percent increase over what you are now giving.
