Worship is a corporate and individual experience, shared between you and God, but involving those who are in fellowship with you. At Douglasville FUMC you will find a service that helps you to experience the transforming presence and grace of God. Whichever service you choose to attend, we welcome you to come and be filled! Explore the services below so you’ll know what to expect. Remember that childcare is always available for your convenience.

Our Mission
Connect people to Jesus,
Make disciples,
Transform the world.

What are the types of worship?

Douglasville FUMC offers several types of worship to meet the needs and worship preferences of the community.

How do I know which is right for me?

At the traditional services (8:30 and 11:00am), you can expect choir, special music, sermon, congregational singing, and prayer.

At The Journey contemporary service (11:00am), you can expect praise and worship with a band, congregational singing, videos, message, coffee and treats.

Shortly into the 11:00am services, kids (kindergarteners through fifth graders) can exit to go to Kids’ Church activities created just for them in Room A201. On Communion Sundays (usually the first Sunday of each month), there is no Kids’ Church. We encourage kids and families to worship and celebrate Holy Communion together.

What if I attend and don't like the style?

No worries! Many folks attend both services at one time or another. We all go through changes in our lives and variety in worship style may be one of those! Feel free to visit any of our services at any time.
