Let’s go beyond the walls of the church and into the world—together.

Caring for Others Is at the Heart of God's Word
Scripture repeatedly calls believers to demonstrate compassion, making it an essential part of faithful Christian living.
Join us on the second Saturday of the month as we serve the community. Follow us on facebook for dates and times.
James 1:27
Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction.
Galatians 6:10
As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
Proverbs 19:17
He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.
Jesus Himself set the example. He fed the five thousand before speaking to them (John 6:1–14), healed the suffering, and touched those others considered untouchable. His compassion was never an interruption to His mission. It was the pathway through which He revealed God's love and truth.
We are committed to meeting the needs of those facing hunger. Every food box prepared, every hour of service offered, and every family reached through our Drive-Thru ministry is an act of Christ-centered love and compassion.

Dinner Church is a fresh expression of ministry and God’s love to our community. Twice a month we meet at the Good Samaritan Food Pantry in Douglasville and hold a church service with part of our community that doesn’t typically come into our church. We serve a full dinner and offer worship and the Word. We have the privilege of making new friends and growing together in life.

Little Scholars Academy (LSA) at Douglasville FUMC nurtures young minds with love, faith, and fun! With experienced teachers, a rich curriculum, and a focus on spiritual, social, and intellectual growth, LSA prepares children for life and learning in a joyful, Christian environment.
At Douglasville First UMC, loving our neighbors is more than a mission—it’s our way of life. Through hands-on outreach, heartfelt service, and unwavering compassion, we strive to be the hands and feet of Christ in our community every day
